Which Graphics Card was used for making the movie Baahubali?


Baahubali is India’s biggest motion picture till date, directed by S. S. Rajamouli. After a long 1 year of pre-production, a year of shooting and a year of post-production finally the wait has come to an end. Rajamouli and his crew have delivered a magnificent movie with a splendid performance form the lead characters Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Sudeep, Adivi Sesh, Nassar, Prabhakar. Each and every eye this weekend in India will be on the biggest budget Indian film of all time, weighing in at some $40 million for two parts, it is also shaping up to be one of the biggest movie events the country has seen in years. Everyone are aware of the effects and graphics used by them on screen.

For us, finding the BTS facts and diving deep into the technical know how’s of the movies was more pleasing than the graphics and VFX on the screen.

Last week, graphics card manufacturer AMD released a video showing how their graphics cards helped Makuta VFX the VFX team behind Baahubali to make such spectacular graphics for the movie.

One thing to note, Nvidia Titan X was launched in August, 2016. A FirePro or Quadro card will have drivers that are optimized for the professional level works. Titan X drivers are optimized for gaming.
